Part time Membership Recruiters
(0.5 - 0.6 FTE) Salary £12k (pro rata) plus commission, rising to £16k (pro rata) plus commission after probation period, mileage and mobile allowances.

The Somerset Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated to wildlife conservation. We manage 80 nature reserves in the county and work to educate and encourage everyone to care for local wildlife. We have nearly 21,000 members but need to recruit more if we are to continue to rebuild and protect Somerset’s wildlife and diverse landscape.
We need enthusiastic and dedicated people with a flair for communication, to recruit new members primarily through recruiting door to door, usually in your local area. Ideally you will be based in the Glastonbury/Wells area or Taunton areas. Using a soft sell approach – no hard sell is involved, a background in sales/fundraising or knowledge of wildlife would be an advantage. Full training and support will be provided.

Trainee Reserves Assistant
Based at Fyne Court & Tonedale Mill, Somerset
£120 per week training allowance, 1 year contract
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to gain valuable nature reserve experience including habitat management; coppicing, scrub clearance, chainsaw work, brush cutting, gates and fencing. A key role for the placement will be at Fyne Court, with workshop duties such as tool maintenance and construction of information panels.
In return, you will receive a weekly training allowance of £120 plus holiday entitlement and the opportunity to gain industry recognised tickets such as, NPTC chainsaw and pesticide as well as First Aid at work.
